Candle Safety Guidance
To enjoy your candle safely and get the best burn, please follow these simple guidelines:
Before Burning:

Trim the wick to 5mm before each burn to prevent excess soot and ensure a steady flame.

Always place your candle on a stable, heat-resistant surface away from drafts, pets, children, and anything flammable.

Allow the wax to melt across the full surface during the first burn to prevent tunnelling.
While Burning:

Never leave a burning candle unattended.

Do not burn for more than 4 hours at a time.

Keep the wax pool free of debris like matches or wick trimmings.

Avoid touching or moving the candle while the wax is liquid.
After Use:

Extinguish with a snuffer or gently blow out the flame. Do not use the lid to put out the candle.

Allow the candle to cool and solidify before relighting or moving it.

Discontinue use when 10mm of wax remains to prevent overheating the container.

All Born of Botanics fragrance products (from candles to essential oils) are hand-poured in our workshop in York.
What is your returns policy?
- Online orders can be returned if in a resalable condition (including any packaging) and returned to us within 14 days of you receiving the item. The address to return items to can be found at the bottom of this pages.
- Items must be unused, and in their original undamaged packaging.
- We will refund you for the product within 14 days.
- We cannot provide refunds for shipping costs.
